Lexie Law, Emily Baine, and Tally Kelly volunteered on behalf of the GHS Art Club this Saturday. They provided face painting for community children visiting the Kids Central Celebration at Crump Paris Park in Carthage, braving the heat and leaving dozens of kids happily decorated with unicorns, butterflies, dragons, and more!

Homecoming Announcements

Parade cars need to be in the front parking lot by 9:30. There should be someone here to move the car to the back parking lot when called.
Everyone needs to be in their parade car in the back parking lot no later than 1:00. DO NOT MAKE PLANS TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE PARK.
Parade will begin at Ivy Agee Park at 2:00
Ladies riding on the hood of cars need to be sure to bring a nonslip mat.
Ladies checking in and out for hair appointments need to have a parent note and sign in and out with Ms. Mason in the back parking lot if they are leaving or returning after 9:30.
When parade cars return to GHS, undecorate your car and exit the back parking lot. We must get the float off Main Street and back to the Ag shop as quickly as possible.

Band Instrument Rental Night

Wednesday September 5th from 3pm - 6pm in the GHS Band Room

The instrument company Music Stop will visit Gordonsville High School to give parents a chance to take advantage of their "Rent To Own" program. They will have instruments available on site for purchase and rent. Any new band students and parents are encouraged to come.

The company Music Stop is completely financially independent from Gordonsville High School.

Homecoming Parade Information

Attached is the informational letter given to all students who are involved in the Homecoming Parade. Copies of Driver's Licenses and signed forms are due by Wednesday, September 5. Homecoming is Friday, September 14, 2018.

Book Tasting

To kick off independent reading, Mrs. Reed's English 1 classes participated in a Book Tasting in the library. Students sampled a variety of genres and will be checking out books every 3 weeks. Students will be reading 20 minutes every night and completing assignments over the independent reading.

Fall Student Sports Pass

GHS will once again be selling a sports pass for our fall sport season. For $15 students at GHS, GES, and NMS can purchase a pass and be admitted to our fall season of JR High and High School Football and Volleyball as well as the Nov/December Basketball games. We will also sell spring sports passes in January.
