Summer Eligibility for the HOPE Scholarship
Announcement 3-22-2024
TN Tech shared this announcement that came through on the Summer eligibility for the TN HOPE Scholarship and wanted to make sure our students were aware. It’s a great opportunity for your students if they want to start college right after graduation.
Effective immediately, entering freshmen who graduate from an eligible high school, complete high school from a Tennessee home school program, or obtain a GED or HiSET may qualify for the HOPE Scholarship program prior to the Fall semester at an eligible postsecondary institution following graduation so long as students meet the HOPE academic eligibility requirements for entering freshmen and enroll in an eligible postsecondary program of study in pursuit of an associate or baccalaureate degree.
Furthermore, THEC/TSAC has extended the Summer 2024 semester FAFSA application deadline to May 15, 2024 to allow class of 2024 graduates to complete the 2023-24 FAFSA to potentially qualify for the HOPE Scholarship. Please note, the Summer semester FAFSA application deadline in subsequent academic years will be restored to the original deadline date.
Please contact Robert Biggers at Robert.biggers@tn.gov with any questions you may have.
